Position Purpose:
To assist members by processing a variety of financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner. Keep accurate member and financial records in compliance with regulatory standards. Significant member encounter position providing transactional support to credit union members and staff. Actively handles and provides credit union products and services in accordance to member needs adhering to guidelines of the established production programs and delivers account statuses.
Essential Functions:
- Accurately and efficiently processes regular counter transactions involving member accounts (deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, etc.).
- Processes check deposits through Check 21 solution.
- Answers general financial questions and refers complex member requests to management.
- Compiles regulatory reports in accordance with credit union policies and procedures adhering to state/federal governing entities.
- Accountable for individual cash management, safeguarding all cash/negotiable instruments and proper balancing standards.
- Administers informational materials and cross-sells credit union products/services to members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Meets strategic objectives for level of service and quality care (Net Promoter Score)
- Correctly processes member cash and non cash transactions
- Responds quickly to staff and member requests with the highest level of accuracy
- Supports efficient production levels at branch level.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Required Knowledge:
Basic understanding of MS Word & Excel, preferred
Experience Required:
Minimum 1 - 2 years cash handling and/ customer service experience in a fast-paced work environment
Preferred experience within the banking, credit union, or financial industry
Skills/Abilities:
Customer service oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mathematical skills
Ability to work quickly and with accuracy, especially when frequently conveying detailed or important instructions
Valid driver’s license required with clean abstract and vehicle to drive to a branch when scheduled.

Sedentary work (sitting most of the time). Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Able to apply common sense understanding to carry-out detailed instructions and to deal with problems involving variables.
Mathematics Ability:
Able to perform basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using a calculator.
Language Ability:
Able to write and compose sentences using normal word order with present and past tenses, as well as a command of the English vocabulary.
Working Conditions:
Air-conditioned, smoke-free office setting.
Business Hours & Attendance Requirements:
Monday through Saturday. Business hours are subject to change. Please note that scheduled attendance requirements may change due to business needs. Must be able to work additional hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
