The Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Houston invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor with experience in neuroimmunology. The Research Assistant Professor is non-tenure track faculty position with primary responsibilities in research. This faculty level position will report to the laboratory PI. Our group does research on immune dysfunction in neurodegeneration diseases and the development of effective immunotherapy.
We are seeking a candidate with solid experience on immunology, basic and translational immunology, and genetically modified animal models. This includes but not limits to, experience in immune-related analyses and murine models.
Qualifications
• A PhD in Immunology or other fields with deep experience in testing the mechanism of novel immune therapy or immune mechanisms associated with neurodegeneration diseases.
• At least 3-year post-doctoral experience
• At least 3-year animal research experience
• Record of research accomplishments (Scientific publications on neuroimmunology)
• Evidence of capacity to secure extramural funding
