Provides administrative and functional support relating to the research grant and award process for a department.
- Coordinate sub-recipient process by contacting Principle Investigator (PI) and sub-recipient institution for the required information.
- Audit sub-recipient invoices, review for accuracy and compliance, and submit to department payment if allowable.
- Monitor sub-recipient accounts for compliance with applicable federal, state, and university regulations and laws; take corrective action as needed to ensure compliance.
- Encumber and maintain sub-recipient files; research problems and budgeting issues.
- Coordinate office staff ensuring effective office coverage and work assignment distribution; interact with faculty, staff, and administration to address office issues.
- Coordinate technical, legal, and administrative report processes which may include issuing reminders, collecting reports, and updating reports in databases.
- Oversee the maintenance of various filing systems; observe all state and local requirements for file retention.
- May assist with grant compliance and award receipt.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
