Position Summary
This position is located at the UIC Health Sciences campus - Rockford. The Building Service Worker performs all necessary custodial work to keep floors, walls, windows, furniture, toilet rooms in a clean, sanitary condition and to maintain housekeeping standards. The Building Service Worker will also assist in setting and breaking down events that are held throughout the campus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all floor surfaces consisting of carpet and various hard surface floors.
- Clean and maintain restrooms.
- Pick up trash including hazardous materials, also recycling.
- Clean interior finishes and building components, i.e., walls, windows, blinds, light fixtures, etc.
- Clean exterior entryways.
- Clean furniture.
- Provide services to facility users by moving furniture and setting up for meetings and special events.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
