| Physical Requirements | Regular sitting at computer workstation for extended periods; and intermittent hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste and bloodborne/airborne pathogens. |

| Job Summary | Responsibilities include collaborating with Chemical Safety Officer (CSO) to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive Chemical and General Lab Safety Program designed to facilitate campus research initiatives while protecting faculty, staff, students, and visitors and the environment from the adverse effects of research involving chemical hazards. The CSO Assistant will manage the annual laboratory inspection program, oversee lab demographic data management, onboard new faculty and lab groups, oversee the lab clearance program, support the ARCM and resolve findings from IACUC inspections in research lab areas, support academic and teaching lab coordinators, assist the CSO in developing and providing training and outreach materials, consult with researchers, and provide support services to lab groups. |
