| Physical Requirements | Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders upto 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. | Job Summary | High level and extremely knowledgeable scientist to investigate diseases of physiology and specifically aortopathies. Highly technical procedures and techniques involving molecular biology, physiology and genomics of mouse physiology, and omics data processing and analysis will be necessary to complete project aims. Translational laboratory research will be the primary responsibility. This requires experimental design, developing new projects and protocols, preparing samples and train/oversee trainees for projects with the end result being publications and grant applications. Assistance with writing protocols, manuscripts, and grant applications, as well as review of literature to identify protocols necessary for edge of science breakthroughs will be necessary. |
