The University of Lynchburg, a private regional university, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia is seeking a full-time Director of Admissions to join our Enrollment Services team.
The Director of Admissions reports to, is supervised by, and evaluated by the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management. The evaluation of work performance will be ongoing and will be carried out by the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management. It will include the specific duties and responsibilities of this position description plus employee attitude and general working behavior.

Job Purpose: Assist the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management in providing leadership and supervision for the admissions staff.
Specific Job Duties:
Assists the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management in supervising the enrollment staff (admissions) and staff evaluations.
Coordinates all recruitment activities including travel itineraries, on-campus and off-campus events, interviewing schedules, information sessions, phone calling campaigns and student ambassadors.
Supervises training of new professional personnel.
Coordinates the production of all promotional literature, publications, and visual products.
Participates in and represents the University at CICV events, counselor events and recruiting functions.
Counsels families and students on college selection and academic major choice.
Conducts personal interviews and, when needed, conducts campus tours with prospective students and their parents, guidance officials, and visitors to the campus.
Assists the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management in supervising the application review process.
Prepares bi-weekly reports on recruitment activities to the Vice President and assist the Assistant Vice President for enrollment management in data gathering and trend analysis for enrollment planning and decision making.
Travel, as needed, to help recruit prospective students from strategic markets.
Assists in budget analysis and maintenance.
Serve on campus committees and working groups for programs related to enrollment and student development such as orientation, leadership institute, retention, etc.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Schedule:
8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
Must be able to work occasional weekends and Saturdays
Must be willing to travel occasionally
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, or recruitment
1 to 2 years of supervisory experience
Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate and relate to a diverse constituency.
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in higher education, marketing or related field.
Knowledge of Slate
5 to 7 years of admissions experience.
