Position Title: Spiritual Life Student Assistant
Supervisor's Title & Department: Office Manager / Spiritual Life Center
Session: Academic Year
Hourly Rate & Leadership Classification: $11.00, Level 1 Standard Classification
Average hours per week: Up to 8 hours per week
Job Purpose:
To assist the Office Manager and Spiritual Life Center staff by performing and fulfilling tasks in the office. To maintain all office operations in the absence of the Office Manager

- Work with little or no supervision at times
Essential Duties:
- Assist with preparation for special events & programs
- Complete special projects in a timely and accurate manner
- Use creativity and innovation to accomplish assignments, often helping establish new routines and increased
- effectiveness
- Greet, welcome, and assist student or staff walk-ins
- Proofing of various documents self-prepared and those prepared by Office Manager and chaplains
- Hand-carry various documents to other campus offices
Equipment Used:
- Landline telephone, including voice mail
- Calculator
- Computer and printers
- Copier, including scanner
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Creativity
- Office/computer experience
- Experience w/ software programs (Word, Google Suite, Excel, Canva) preferred
- Self-motivation, accuracy to detail
Experience Requirements:
- Familiarity with general office tasks
- Some customer service experience
Educational Requirements:
- Must be in good academic standing with the University of Lynchburg
