What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stewardship Coordinator position at University Of Lynchburg?
JOB PURPOSE:
To assist in the coordination of fundraising stewardship efforts and general support of the Office
of Advancement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Provides administrative support for the Office of Advancement (answering phones, routing calls as necessary, greeting visitors, etc)
2. Assists with Advancement stewardship efforts.(daily donor acknowledgment letters, tribute notifications, gift society mailings, annual consolidated receipts, etc)
3. Assists with the LIFE@Lynchburg program.
4. Assists with the creation of the University’s Annual Report/Honor Roll of contributors.
5. Assists with the annual production and mailing of Endowment Reports.
6. Assists departments and programs with the acknowledgment of gifts for special events (e.g., Beard Center Silent Auction, PAM Gala Silent Auction).
7. Assists with the production of annual Thank You postcards sent to all donors who made a gift in the previous FY.
8. Assists in the production and distribution of annual donor/prospect Thanksgiving cards and generating mailing lists for MGOs, VP, & AVP.
9. Assists in the production and distribution of donor/prospect birthday cards and generating mailing lists for MGOs, VP, and AVP.
10. Responsible for sending monthly thank you postcards to first-time donors.
11. Assists as needed in execution of donor stewardship events such as the Celebration of Scholarship, Founders Society & Hopwood Society brunch, etc.
12. Constituent record maintenance (maintaining constituent records, recording donor interests, entering volunteer and engagement data, processing requests sent to the REUpdates mailbox, generating queries and exports, etc.)
13. Responsible for event data entry and clean up, participant lists, nametags, and other event support needs.
14. Monitors delegated email accounts: advancement@lynchburg.edu, stewardship@lynchburg.edu, plannedgiving@lynchburg.edu, giveday@lynchburg.edu, reupdates@lynchburg.edu
15. Performs any other related duties as may be required.

REPORTS TO:
Director of Donor Relations
ORAL OR WRITTEN REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent English language oral and written skills for effective communication in representing
the University. Proofreading skills are also necessary.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Functions of this position are usually performed sitting, with some walking or standing. Tasks
such as working at a computer keyboard involve extensive wrist and hand movements. The
normal schedule is a full workday, with flexibility of schedule to accommodate job requirements.
Monthly overtime hours involved.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Requires excellent written and verbal skills as well as organizational abilities in coordinating
information. The ability to interact with a diverse population is essential.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree.
