Clinical Pharmacist II
Full-Time, Day Shift 8am-4:30pm

Versatile, decentralized clinical pharmacist role that provides pharmaceutical care to patients in a variety of clinical settings, including acute care and ambulatory. Assesses patient-specific data to evaluate medication needs, verifies medication orders, oversees the preparation, dispensing, distribution and monitoring of all medications.
- Provides pharmaceutical care to patients including the promotion of optimal drug therapy and safe use of medications. Assesses patient-specific data to evaluate medication needs, verifies medication orders, oversees the preparation, dispensing, distribution and monitoring of all medications.
- Supervises pharmacy technicians and other support staff with the daily operations of the pharmacy. Ensures compliance with the standards and regulations of USP 797 and USP 800.
- Collaborates and consults with and provides education to medical staff, nurses, allied health professionals, patients and caregivers. Acts as a preceptor for students as directed
- Manages care, quality, and costs by engaging in the systematic and continuous process of evaluating and improving the utilization of medications in a patient population in order to enhance the quality, safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the medication use process. Oversees and directs the work of other pharmacy staff and ensures service standards are met.
- Participates in direct patient care, interdisciplinary rounds, prepares materials and participates in facility committees and implements strategic initiatives.

Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy.
- Residency and/or board certification OR minimum of 3-5 years acute care experience required.
- Maryland Pharmacist License required.
Strongly Preferred:
- Completion of PGY1 or PGY2 Residency.
- Board Certification.
