Job Description:
The Psychology Department at the University of Mount Saint Vincent seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2024. We are interested in candidates who specialize in teaching and research related to either Health Psychology or Psychology & Law.
We are a collegial, student-centered department of 5 full-time faculty specializing in clinical, cognitive, developmental, environmental and social psychology with about 190 majors. We value availability to students, creating research opportunities for students and actively engaging in the life of the University.
Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching a diverse undergraduate population in an urban liberal arts college. Teaching load is 21 credits per year including introductory Psychology courses and courses in the candidate's specialty area with the possibility of developing new courses for the curriculum.
Candidates will be expected to involve undergraduates in an active program of research. The University's 5-year Title V Hispanic Serving Institution STEM grant provides additional support for faculty research. Service responsibilities include advising majors and participating fully in department and college life.

- A Doctorate from an accredited university is required (ABD will be considered).
