The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and to contribute to the continued growth and development of the UNT Dallas Department of Mathematics.

Position Overview

Adjunct faculty members are responsible for planning classes, implementing and evaluating teaching/learning objectives, and assessing student learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours and fulfilling the professional obligations of a part-time faculty member.
The successful candidate will provide instruction for lower-division mathematics courses, which may include:
Adjunct faculty may be required to use specific textbooks and adhere to instructional parameters set by the Department of Mathematics. Instructors will also be expected to incorporate departmental assessment measures into their courses and to compile and report relevant data.

- A master's degree in mathematics with demonstrated success in teaching lower-level mathematics courses; or
- A master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics and demonstrated success in teaching lower-level mathematics courses.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in mathematics, or a Ph.D./Ed.D. in Mathematics Education with at least 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
- Significant experience in higher education
- Successful experience teaching adult learners in a post-secondary setting
- Excellent communication skills
