Department Summary | University Centers and Events (UCE) encompasses the University Union, Gateway Center and Coliseum. University Centers and Events (UCE), provides quality programs, services, and facilities that enhance the educational experience and create a community for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. We assist students to become good citizens of a global community, prepared to function in a diverse world. The Coliseum is a multi-use arena that is home to the North Texas Men's and Women's basketball teams. In addition to hosting all home games, the Coliseum hosts UNT Commencements, high school commencements, concerts, cheer and dance competitions and many other events. The Gateway Center features 28,000 square feet of meeting spaces and classrooms, including a 7,000 square foot ballroom. Many memorable events have been hosted in the Gateway Center including weddings, banquets and conferences. |
Position Overview | This position will work with clients in planning and executing all aspects of their events. This position will work with relevant event management and diagram software. This role will also coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the work, including but not limited to dining, parking, athletics, and vendors. |
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's Degree and two years of professional experience related to event planning; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
