Advertised Job Summary
The Alumni Relations Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of External Relations in increasing the level of College of Arts and Sciences alumni involvement and engagement locally, regionally, nationally and internationally through various types of events and programming. Works closely with Lead Senior Director of Advancement and Director of External Relations to develop and implement a strategy for alumni engagement.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Three or more years of experience in areas such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development. Ability to effectively communicate and maintain relationships with students, alumni, and faculty/staff.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with faculty, alumni, donors, students, volunteers, businesses and the general public. Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience or an aptitude for building relationships and partnerships with a broad range of constituencies. Sound judgment, emotional intelligence and detail orientation. Must be able to correspond clearly and effectively in person and in writing, excellent customer service skills and fundraising skills. Must have attention to detail and be a quick learner of new technology and tools.
