Responsibilities
Design Capture
- Create and deliver compelling visual content that supports marketing goals across digital channels. Produce and refine video, motion, and photographic assets for campaigns, programs, and events, ensuringplatform-readyexecutionandbrandconsistency.Overseeprojectsfrominitialplanning throughfinaldelivery,collaboratingwithcross-functionalpartnerstobringideastolife,maintain organizedassetlibraries,andclearlycommunicatecreativedirectiontostakeholders.
- Concept,design,andproducehigh-qualitymultimediacontentincludingpromotionalvideos, animations, andmotiongraphicsthatalignwithcampaignobjectives.
- Delivers high-visibility multimedia content that directly supports campaign performance, brand storytelling, and audience engagement.
- Capture edit still photography for campaigns and events
- Capture footage for short form social clips, long form video, and program marketing.
- Edit and optimize video for various platforms such as the Vols Online website, digital advertising, email marketing, and social media.
- Lead the full production cycle—from storyboarding and scripting support to directing shoots and post-production.
- Ensure all multimedia content adheres to UT branding guidelines and accessibility standards.
- Manage digital assets, organize project files, and maintain a consistent multimedia aesthetic acrosscampaigns.
- Work cross-functionally with writers, designers, developers, faculty, and academic departments to produce meaningful, relevant content.
- Present and communicate creative concepts clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Apply professional creative judgment across a range of multimedia design and production assignments.
- Establishes the visual style, motion approach, and overall creative direction for multimedia assets inalignmentwithbrand and campaigngoals.
- IdentifyandshapemultimediaopportunitiesthatsupportDigitalLearningandVolsOnline objectives. Apply market awareness, performance insights, and audience data to guide creative decisionsandimproveeffectivenessacrosschannels.Contributetocampaignideation,tailor
- visual approaches to different audiences and funnel stages, and introduce new formats, tools, or methodsthatexpandreachandstrengthenengagementthroughvideoandmotioncontent.
- Take initiative in researching and identifying multimedia content opportunities that align with the goalsofDigitalLearningandVolsOnline.
- Analyze trends in higher education marketing, digital advertising, and multimedia engagement to inform content strategy.
- Use insights from campaign performance, user behavior, and platform analytics to independently refine creative direction and optimize multimedia outputs.
- Proactively develop multimedia strategies tailored to various digital channels, audience segments, and stagesoftheenrollmentfunnel.
- Participate in brainstorming campaign ideas for student and program marketing features
- Recommend new formats, tools, or approaches to enhance the impact and reach of digital campaigns through video and motion content.
- Produce complex multimedia assets that require creative problem-solving, originality, and thoughtful execution across platforms.
- Select appropriate multimedia formats (video, animation, motion graphics, interactive assets) thatalignwithcampaignstrategy,timelines,andavailableresources
- Leads with organization, adaptability, and collaboration to support high-impact creative work across Digital Learning marketing initiatives. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications, Design, or equivalent experience
- Three to five years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Marketing and Communications, Graphic or Digital Design, Motion or Video Design, Photography
- Master’s degree in Motion or Video Design, Graphic or Digital Design, Communications or Marketing, or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience as a Multimedia Designer
- Two to three years of experience in higher education
