Job Summary
The University of Texas at Austin Women’s Club Lacrosse team is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Coach to lead our collegiate club program. This role involves planning and leading practices, coaching competitive tournament play, and fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-energy team culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lacrosse, a commitment to player development, and the leadership skills to build team cohesion and success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead structured practice plans twice a week in the fall and three times a week in the spring (7-9pm).
• Coach the team through ~two major tournaments per academic year (travel and lodging covered).
• Provide skill-specific feedback to players and support their development across all positions.
• Promote team culture centered on sportsmanship, communication, accountability, and respect.
• Coordinate with team officers on scheduling, team needs, and game-day preparation.
• Attend games and tournaments, ensuring safety protocols and UT club sports policies are upheld.
• Communicate effectively with team leadership and serve as a role model for student-athletes.
• Help guide players through conditioning, lacrosse IQ development, and team-building activities.

Qualifications

• Prior experience coaching or playing women’s lacrosse at the collegiate or high school level.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a passion for athlete development.
• Availability for practices and tournaments during the academic year (Fall & Spring semesters).
• Ability to plan engaging, competitive, and skill-building practice sessions.
• Understanding of the unique structure of collegiate club sports.
