TITLE: AUDIOLOGIST
JOB OVERVIEW: Examine individuals to identify those with symptoms of hearing loss and other auditory, balance, and related sensory and neural problems. Works with other health and education providers as part of a team.

AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: ENT Clinic
HOURS OF WORK: Days
RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager Specialty Clinics
PREREQUISITES:
Minimum of two years previous Audiologist experience preferred.
Current Washington State Audiologist license required.
Doctoral Au.D degree required.
Familiarity with fitting software preferred.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated leadership skills, to include assessments, problem solving and efficient decision making.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with a diverse population to include patients, medical staff, and front office staff.
Participation in professional organizations and demonstration of continuing interest in education and professional growth.

Unique Job Functions:
Provides hearing assessments, hearing aid manufacture and maintenance, rehabilitation, education and counseling. Uses audiometers, computers, and other testing devices to evaluate and diagnose hearing disorders. Fits and dispenses hearing aids. Provides counseling for adjusting to hearing loss and training on the use of hearing instruments.
