Meets with students and family in office as well as during tours and events, sometimes outside of typical work hours, to review contract processes, housing options, and room changes.
Provides a positive, self-motivated experience by having excellent interpersonal communication skills. Works in an environment requiring strong emphasis on providing superior customer service in conformance with the University and Departmental mission and values.
Knowledge of basic math skills; knowledge of the operations of a housing and residence life office.
- 40% - Aids students and families in understanding housing offerings and the contract and assignments process. Assists in trouble shooting contract submission issues. Monitors Housing email account and communications log, ensuring students, residents and families received timely and excellent customer service. - (Essential)
- 35% - Performs room assignment process under the direction and guidance of the Assistant Director, ensuring students get accommodations most closely meeting their needs. Assists with room changes and contract cancellation requests as needed during peak periods. Assists with student no show process - (Essential)
- 10% - Support Housing & Residence Life marketing and informational events for all student classifications (FTIC & Upperclassmen). This includes tabling, tours, and calling campaigns. Set up tour rooms and tour schedules. - (Essential)
- 14% - As time permits, provides administrative support for Housing and Residence Life staff and various projects to support the Housing program. Occasionally, the Program Specialist will support the general office functions in the Housing Central Office. - (Essential)
