In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.
Responsibilities
Overview: Under the guidance of the Patient Financial Services Manager, the Customer Care Representative serves as a liaison between patient, the Group, and the insurance company. The Customer Care Representative will accept inbound calls within their assigned queue and perform outbound calling as required. We are seeking a dedicated, team oriented, professional that carries the ability to resolve calls efficiently while also providing process improvement feedback to the leadership team.
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri 8:00am-4:30pm
Tues 8:30am-5:00pm
*Option of becoming full time remote position once training is complete. A minimum 120 Days of training in office must be completed before transition to remote.
*Opportunity to work from home after training, dependent on readiness
- Develops and maintains communication with patients.
- Assists patients regarding billing and/or insurance concerns.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume practice, with high level of multi-tasking skills
- Performs patient demographic changes via RIS system
- Performs other related duties and outbound calls as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with high call volume a MUST
- Healthcare/medical office experience and strong communication skills are required
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to resolve patient and insurance issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of medical billing, claims payment processes, and EOB's
- Self-motivated, results oriented, strong work ethic
- Positive, “can-do” attitude, strong team working skills
- Ability to be proactive, identify areas of improvement, and provide constructive feedback to Manager in a professional manner
- Detail-oriented professional who works well independently and ability to display exceptional teamwork skills while working in a group setting
- Bilingual Spanish Required
