Assistant General Manager
At Unleashed Dog Hotel we look to provide superior care for you and your dog at a superior facility. With a passion for the well-being of dogs, we offer a wide range of services, including boarding, daycare, and grooming. We are committed to creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for dogs of all sizes and breeds. We are currently looking to hire an Assistant General Manager with the goal of training this person to be our next General Manager. The GM position will be available in the next 4-6 months. We will cover the duties of the GM position during the interview process.
General Summary of Job
As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our business. You will work closely with the General Manager and other leadership to ensure the facility operates efficiently, offers exceptional customer service, and maintains the highest standards of dog care.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
- Assist the GM in overseeing daily operations of the facility, which includes running the weekday morning shift.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs.
- Monitor and ensure the facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Customer Service:
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Assist in customer onboarding, ensuring they are well-informed about our services and facility policies.
Staff Supervision:
- Help recruit, train, and supervise a team of dog care professionals.
- Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
Dog Care Oversight:
- Ensure that all dogs are properly cared for, including feeding and medical needs and balanced playtime.
- Monitor dog behavior, intervene in conflicts, and provide enrichment activities.
- Maintain accurate records of client information, dog health records, and staff schedules.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure staff and dogs follow safety guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations related to animal care.
- Assist in the monitoring and maintaining of inventory levels and stock replenishment.
Qualifications:
- A determined, self motivated person.
- A strong passion for dogs and their well-being.
- Previous experience in dog care, veterinary care, or pet services preferred.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of dog behavior and first-aid is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
