What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communication & Outreach Specialist position at unm?
The Communication and Outreach Specialist will work with a diverse range of professionals, including faculty, staff, students and external constituents. You will execute a variety of institutional-wide communication and public relations initiatives designed to enhance the College of Nursing (CON) by writing Email Newsletters, feature news stories, creating and managing social media content, profiles on students, faculty, alumni and preceptors. Additionally, you will edit manuscripts, grant narratives, PowerPoint presentations and class materials as needed. As part of the Advancement team this position supports and responds to internal and external programs, events, and other initiatives to enhance overall marketing effectiveness.
Assist in analyzing market data, including campaign results, online traffic, and various marketing programs, to evaluate effectiveness and contribute insights for future strategies. Act as media relations liaison by responding to and following through on requests for information from the media, determining appropriate, accurate response and appropriate college contacts for response.
