Responsibilities:
Admission Tracking
- Monitor and verify accuracy of all inpatient service admissions.
- Track admissions to assigned inpatient units for accuracy.
Legal Documentation & Compliance
- Complete voluntary consent forms and involuntary petitions per regulatory standards.
- Log and file involuntary commitment petition extensions on time.
- Review court orders for commitment accuracy and report discrepancies.
Support & Communication
- Serve as a resource for clinical staff on involuntary commitment procedures and relevant regulations (e.g., PA Mental Health Procedures Act).
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold rights during the hearing and commitment process.
- Communicate with the Coordinator, attending psychiatrist, and charge nurse regarding issues that may affect a patient’s legal status or hospitalization.
Salary : $19 - $29
