UPMC's Healthy Families Primary Care is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality primary health services to individuals and families. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in patient care, from initial assessments to ongoing health management. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and their families.
  • Obtain and interpret patient information, considering age-specific needs.
  • Conduct patient interviews to address healthcare questions and provide necessary counseling using available resources.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the attending physician, staying updated on immunization, flu vaccine, and allergy injection requirements.
  • Sterilize office equipment, manage stock supplies, and maintain appropriate records.
  • Perform laboratory duties, ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA standards.
  • Identify and communicate patients' educational needs to their physicians and provide teaching as requested.
  • Assist physicians during patient examinations and perform specialized procedures.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences, with necessary documentation.
  • Demonstrate UPMC's commitment to Service Excellence by understanding and addressing the needs of patients, their families, physicians, and co-workers, ensuring responsible, sensitive, accurate, and timely care.

Salary : $1,000 - $1,000,000
