Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and their families.
- Obtain and interpret patient information, considering age-specific needs.
- Conduct patient interviews to address healthcare questions and provide necessary counseling using available resources.
- Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the attending physician, staying updated on immunization, flu vaccine, and allergy injection requirements.
- Sterilize office equipment, manage stock supplies, and maintain appropriate records.
- Perform laboratory duties, ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA standards.
- Identify and communicate patients' educational needs to their physicians and provide teaching as requested.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and perform specialized procedures.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences, with necessary documentation.
