  • Eligible for the RN sign-on bonus once RN licensure is obtained.
  • Eligible for the LPN sign-on bonus based on unit eligibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Safety & Quality:

  • LPN Role & Responsibilities:

    • Seeks instruction and supervision for new or unfamiliar practices.
    • Follows UPMC policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and State Practice Act.
  • Patient Care & Documentation:
    • Acts within LPN Practice guidelines, including IVs.
    • Uses Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment.
    • Formulates daily goals and care plans with patient involvement.
    • Ensures comprehensive patient documentation for effective communication.
  • General Duties:
    • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies and behaviors.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
