What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Associate position at UPMC?
UPMC University of Pittsburgh Physicians is currently hiring for a regular full time Research Associate to work with the Department of Surgery, located in Pittsburgh, PA! Primary location will be at UPMC Shadyside and UPMC Presbyterian. However, travel may be required to other locations - UPMC Mercy, Passavant or St. Margaret's. Hours for this position are Monday to Friday daylight hours, no evenings, holidays or weekends required. This position assist in the execution of research protocols and services.
Responsibilities:
- Contact and schedule potential participants from a designated pool of individuals who have agreed to be contacted for research studies.
- Conduct subject searches to locate subjects who are unable to be contacted.
- Explain research protocol and obtain informed consent from participants.
- Conduct on-line and/or library searches as needed by the PI as necessary.
- Perform phone interviews for research project protocol(s) as needed.
- Maintain and update subject information database.
- Conduct interviews with research participants under supervision as needed.
