• Patrol UPMC hospitals, buildings, and grounds to establish a uniformed security presence and deter criminal activity.
• Monitor security, fire, and environmental alarms, responding promptly and assisting as needed to ensure safety.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing parcels to prevent theft and ensure the security of the premises.
• Resolve problems, disputes, and unusual circumstances through effective communication and conflict management.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff, fostering a safe and secure environment.
• Document incidents, suspicious activities, and hazards accurately on required reports to maintain security records.
• Conduct patient escorts and stand-by details to ensure safety during high-traffic or sensitive situations.
• Maintain required certifications and licensing, completing all mandatory training programs in accordance with departmental guidelines.
