Join our Inpatient Rehabilitation Multidisciplinary Team!
UPMC is seeking a motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic rehab team to provide intervention in our Brain Injury and Stroke Certified rehabilitation institute. This position offers candidates the opportunity to complete Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Swallowing Evaluations (FEES), as well as other therapeutic modalities such as NMES and Tongueometer. Prior experience is preferred but training and mentorship are also available. An ideal candidate would have CCCs, but strong CF candidates will also be considered.
Position Details:
- Work Hours: Approximately 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Flexible Schedule: Includes rotating weekends (approximately every fourth) and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Productivity: Achieve and maintain a level of productivity that meets or exceeds facility standards.
- Record Keeping: Prepare necessary time records and maintain accurate progress notes and professional records for all patients.
- Patient Care: Provide appropriate speech pathology treatments and diagnostic evaluative services for all clients.
- Reporting: Prepare diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for each client.
- Data Management: Compile and report accurate data for the financial, statistical, and administrative needs of the Speech-Language Pathology Programs.
- Coordination: Coordinate the evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs of clients referred for Speech-Language Therapy.
- Historical Information: Obtain complete and pertinent historical information on all clients referred for services.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Eligible candidates must have completed all Certificate of Clinical Competency requirements.
- Strong CF candidates may be considered. The salary for the Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow is $36.39 per hour.
