UPMC Jameson, located in New Castle, PA is hiring a full-time Storeroom Clerk for their Nutritional Services department!
The hours will be 7:00AM-3:30PM, Monday- Friday, and every other weekend 6:15AM-2:45PM. This role will have no on-call or travel responsibility. Holidays would be required.
Receiver, storeroom or general kitchen experience is preferred!

Purpose:
Purchase, receive, and store all food and supply orders in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Store received product in assigned location in an organized manner, to include proper stock rotation and the dating of each product.
- Inspect and store all deliveries according to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and department procedures. Communicate any food safety or product quality concerns immediately to supervisor.
- Use and maintains equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines; follow all safety procedures.
- Consistently adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
- Maintain a professional working relationship and demonstrate excellent customer service skills at all times with vendors, delivery drivers, and coworkers.
- Receive shipments from vendors; document receipt of each item as identified by the order guide. Identify discrepancies and communicate to supervisor.
- Receive shipments from trucking companies, UPS, and special delivery distributors according to established procedures.
- Monitor and record temperatures according to operation guidelines.
- Complete accurate and timely inventories; develop and place orders according to operation schedules and procedures.
- Maintain inspection-readiness of all storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers. Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures. Adhere to recycling guidelines.
