UPMC Hamot is excited to welcome your application to join our team as a full-time Supervisor with our housekeeping department. This position will engage during our second shift and offers a robust Total Rewards package.
- Ensure discharges in assigned areas are completed within one hour.
- Attend mandatory departmental and hospital in-services regularly.
- Maintain daily communication with head nurses and unit clerks.
- Fulfill all legitimate facility requests promptly to uphold service standards.
- Submit timely work orders for maintenance repairs.
- Monitor assigned areas to ensure work schedules and standards are met.
- Maintain stock of supplies and equipment.
- Oversee Lead Housekeepers, Housekeepers, and Floor/Project Technicians.
- Manage personnel effectively to ensure adequate coverage and performance.
- Maintain accurate administrative and employee documentation.
- Respond promptly to 24-hour pager calls.
- Coordinate duties during emergencies and drills.
- Conduct a minimum of 5 daily inspections using Pocket PC Technology.
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of equipment at all times.
- Inspect 10% of patient area discharges as assigned.
