Quality Control Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and mature full time quality associate who will contribute to our commitment to quality and growth. Responsible for providing excellent facility and customer support while abiding by the regulatory, SQF, customer requirements of food safety, sanitation, freshness and quality. Promotes a culture for employees to be positively encouraged and know that they are required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; ensure employees are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.

Essential Duties:

• Follow all GMP’s of the Facility

• Become or be HACCP Certified

• Works directly with the Quality Team to meet all Company Total Quality Management System (TQMS) Safe Quality Food (SQF), Food Safety Modernization Act ( FSMA/ FDA) and regulatory requirements

• Process/Upkeep all regulatory compliance paperwork for the Company

• Work well with all Leadership as well as Sales personnel with quick and respectful responses and thorough follow up

• Interact with suppliers in a friendly, timely and quality manner

• Demonstrate awareness of customer and production needs and perform job duties to effectively meet those needs

• Research and monitor all special orders and samples for R & D

• Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills

• Complete required projects and/or reports in an accurate and timely manner per the cadence of the reports due

• Assist All Leadership and Sales with other administrative, operational and/or training tasks when asked, including preparation of samples for Sales team

Job Requirements:

• Excellent data entry skills

Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Email

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form

• Effective oral and written communication, must write, speak and read English

• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position

• Ability to work well with others

• Accuracy

• Self motivated

• Bilingual English and Spanish REQUIRED

Essential Job Functions:

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

• Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.

• Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 100 pounds. Push and pull carts weighing up to 300 pounds.

• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.

• Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
