Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Host/Hostess to join the opening team of our new restaurant. As the first point of contact for our guests, this role is essential in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. The Host/Hostess will manage guest flow, support front-of-house operations, and help set service standards from the ground up. Paid training will be provided on service procedures, guest engagement expectations, and restaurant operations prior to opening.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly and courteously, creating a warm and welcoming first impression
  • Manage reservations, wait lists, and seating arrangements to ensure smooth and efficient service flow
  • Escort guests to tables and provide menus while communicating relevant information to servers
  • Answer phones, take reservations, and respond to guest inquiries professionally
  • Coordinate with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to manage table availability and guest needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, lobby, and entry areas
  • Monitor dining room activity to ensure guest satisfaction and assist with resolving minor concerns
  • Follow all service standards, policies, and safety procedures

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and friendly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from management
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
