Required Job Specific Competencies:
- Demonstrates ability to perform IV injections/IV insertions (or equivalent skills and training) required.
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
- The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs and to the care of the patient.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of JCAHO and NYSDOH regulations for established radiation safety guidelines.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to patients and staff of the health system.
- Actively supports hospital goals and imperatives and lives the CARES values at all times.
Complexity of Duties:
- Operates independently and/or with other Associates in the provision of Nuclear Medicine exams to patients within the health care system.
- Utilizes critical thinking skills as necessary to prioritize patient care based on acuity.
- Utilizes creativity and previous clinical knowledge to maximize diagnostic information.
- Utilizes resourcefulness to maximize productivity of time and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid NMTCB or AART(N) certification required.
- Basic CPR training required or to be completed within three months of hire.
- A.A.S. degree required
- B.S. in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
- Six months experience in Nuclear Medicine testing in a health care facility required.
Pay Range: $38.00-$48.00
Starting Wage: Based on experience
