What are the responsibilities and job description for the Amenity Attendant / Porter position at URBN Playground?
Amenity Attendant
As an Amenity Attendant, your role is essential in keeping spaces clean, clutter-free, and safe for all the guests who are using it. While you may often be working behind the scenes, your work impacts the first impression people have of our spaces.
You will need to be physically able, as the job requires operating equipment and lifting heavy objects, while being friendly and pleasant to our customers who use the spaces that are under your care. This person must have the ability to lift moderate to heavy weight and work outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures.
YOUR MISSION
To maintain the presentation, cleanliness, and usability of our spaces, creating a relaxing and comfortable environment while maintaining excellent customer service
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Vacuum, wash floors, clean mirrors and glass surfaces, dust furniture and equipment
- Dispose of garbage in compliance with recycling requirements
- Clean lobby, restrooms, amenity spaces, and other public spaces
- Restock bathroom supplies as needed, and follow site protocols for re-ordering as needed
- Organize and store equipment that is out of place
- Report any losses or damages that need to be repaired
- Clean fitness equipment following specified protocol to ensure machine maintenance
- Clean up after events
- Maintain outdoor areas and take preventative measures during seasonal weather conditions (remove snow, salt steps, rake leaves)
YOU’RE GOOD AT
- Paying Attention to details: finger marks to dust specks to empty soap dispensers
- Remembering regular residents’ names and making them feel special
- Spending long hours on your feet, carrying and moving items
- The ability to lift moderate to heavy weight and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Learning how to operate industrial equipment
- Being quick to take action or report anything that is out of place
Part Time: $16/hour
