What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse position at Urology San Antonio?
The PACU Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of nursing care in the assigned Pre-op and Post-operative areas of the Surgery Center.
The Nurse will ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of the Physicians and the Facility's Administrative procedures. Will participate in various quality activities as appropriate and as directed by the Clinical Manager, Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and or the Quality Committee.
Performs nursing care for the patient in the Pre-op and immediate Post-operative/Post anesthesia period, assessing and documenting the patient's status upon arrival at the Center and in the recovery room.
Provides nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered, monitoring patient and informing Surgeon and or Anesthesia provider of observed complications.
Required experience:
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
- PACU/Pre-Op experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing
