Location: Boston, MA (Boston Logan International Airport)
Shift: 3rd: 9:30pm-6:00am (Sunday-Thursday)
We are seeking an experienced and skilled conveyor technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of issues within a conveyor system in industrial and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, including belts, rollers, motors, and controls
- Install new conveyor systems and components according to specifications and safety standards
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in conveyor systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and perform preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operation of conveyor systems
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts replacements within account CMMS system
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on conveyor systems
- Train and mentor junior technicians as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding system status and repair needs
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or associate's degree in a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience working with conveyor systems and related equipment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, including blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing, crouching, climbing)
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations
- Knowledge of inventory management systems
