Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Counter Help. As a Counter Help, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their needs at our establishment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a warm and friendly manner
- Assist customers with inquiries, orders, and transactions
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Provide information about products, services, and pricing
- Receive and process customer orders for dry cleaning and laundry services
- Inspect garments for stains or damage before processing
- Tag garments with appropriate identification information
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and work station
- Follow all safety and security procedures
Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating order totals
- Knowledge of dry cleaning and laundry processes is preferred but not required
- Ability to operate a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order processing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
