About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at US0018 Sysco Baraboo, LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our fleet vehicles and equipment through high-quality preventive maintenance and repair services.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and maintain company vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic techniques and tools.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to junior technicians to improve their skills and contribute to the growth of the team.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce downtime and improve overall fleet reliability.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mechanics, engineering, or transportation management preferred.
- Proven experience in fleet maintenance and repair, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
- ASE certifications in automotive or medium/heavy duty trucks and EPA section 608 (core and type II) and 609 HVAC and refrigeration certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
