Your Role: Senior Associate – Reference Standards Coordinator As a Senior Associate – Reference Standards Coordinator you will be part of the Global Quality Control (QC) team at Elanco, responsible for ensuring the consistent supply and scientific integrity of corporate reference standard materials. In this role, you’ll lead the strategy, development, and certification of reference standards across the organization, supporting global laboratories and ensuring GMP compliance. Your Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional efforts to establish, maintain, and re-evaluate corporate reference standards, ensuring alignment with analytical and regulatory specifications Develop and critically review scientific documentation, including testing protocols and certification profiles for reference standards Oversee acquisition, assessment, and characterization of source batch materials, utilizing advanced analytical reasoning Manage third-party laboratory relationships and testing activities to ensure quality and suitability of reference standards Identify and resolve technical or quality-related issues and ensure timely resupply of reference standard materials What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications): Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related Analytical Sciences Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years in analytical laboratory operations within a GMP-regulated environment Top 2 skills: Strong analytical chemistry expertise and effective communication/influence across remote teams What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications): Experience providing technical oversight of third-party contract laboratories Proficiency with Electronic Document Management Systems (e.g., Veeva) Experience using an electronic system for deviation and change control documentation Knowledge of global regulatory standards (FDA, MHRA, EMA, etc.) Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and influence without authority Additional Information: Location: Global Elanco Headquarters – Greenfield, IN – Hybrid Work Environment; relocating to Downtown Indianapolis on October 1, 2025 This job will require domestic and international travel (10%) to manufacturing sites or laboratory facilities that may have specific restrictions regarding personal protective gear, attire, electronic equipment, and/or disclosure of certain medical conditions such as allergies Don’t meet every single requirement?
