Resident Engineer

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE. This position is part of our Signal & Power Solutions segment and is located in Cupertino, CA. Responsibilities: Obtain customer information for new designs. Communicate using established methods. Attend meetings and events as requested on time and prepared. Work with engineers (product and plant) on harness partitioning, packaging in vehicle, bundle sizes and routings to ensure robustness. Work with subsystem engineers to support them in completing their specifications. Efficiency studies to reduce both cost and mass when requested. Understand and suggest best electrical connection systems to ensure system robustness. Leverage Aptiv skill sets as needed to guarantee best harness designs are provided to customer. Ensure Compliance with customer specific requirements. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 2 years experience in automotive wire harnesses, electrical distribution systems, related subject matter. Team orientated and extroverted. Willing to relocate to customer location (Bay Area, CA). Strong Communication (written and verbal). Includes running coordination meetings. Strong organizational skills to ensure needed product changes are executed as instructed. Experience in fast pace environment either with startups or another supplier, good face to face skills and project management. Strong and thorough decision maker. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in High Voltage Automotive connections & Wiring. Work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. Ability to speak/write in Spanish.
