We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated Lead Ninja Coach/Instructor to take charge of
class instruction, coach leadership, and student development at our Poway location.
Position Overview
As the Lead Instructor, you will:
- Provide hands-on class instruction for students ages 4-17
- Lead and mentor our coaching staff
- Oversee lesson planning, safety protocols, and progression tracking
- Communicate with parents and provide excellent customer support
Key Responsibilities
Program & Lesson Planning
- Create weekly lesson plans tailored by age group: Jr. Ninja (4-5), Kids (6-12), Teens
- Modify curriculum to ensure safety, progression, and engagement
Team Leadership & Training
- Train new instructors using the USA Ninja Challenge "Train-the-Trainer" system
- Mentor and observe staff, giving ongoing feedback
- Identify and resolve coaching/training gaps
Parent & Customer Communication
- Respond to phone/email inquiries about classes, parties, and camps
- Address behavioral issues and keep parents informed of progress
Class Instruction
- Set up/break down equipment with safety in mind
- Run warm-ups, supervise up to 8 students per class
- Track skill development and enforce gym policies
Facility Oversight
- Complete cleaning and safety checklists
- Handle opening/closing procedures and report maintenance issues
Parties & Camps
- Set up and lead birthday parties and seasonal camps
- Greet families, manage group activities, and ensure a great guest experience

Qualifications
- High energy, strong leadership, and a love for working with kids
- Willingness to undergo in-house training and certification
- Available evenings and weekends for classes and events
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Must pass background check and meet all CA youth compliance laws
Working Conditions
Physically active role: lifting, climbing, spotting, and running
- Indoor athletic facility with moderate noise and fast-paced activity
