Do you enjoy having the opportunity to help design and build unique products that are used around the world? USEMCO Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide electrical engineering and design services relating to a wide variety of company products.


Position: Electrical Engineer

1st Shift/Full-Time: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; Monday - Friday

Competitive Starting Pay: $70,000 - $80,000/yr; BOE

Working Conditions: Not a remote position

Location: Tomah, WI 54660

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and document power control systems and logic control systems (involving P.L.C.'s and or discrete components), requiring considerable knowledge of the National Electric Code, UL Regulations, and local electrical codes.
  • Communicate with customers, sales representatives, contractors, and vendors concerning product design issues at each stage of the product development process.
  • Provide submittal materials for customer review and approval.
  • Create product design drawings and Bills of Materials to guide the manufacturing department in producing company products.
  • Integrate sensor products with electrical control systems.
  • Understand P.L.C. logic to control product operations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Requires education generally equivalent to a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or some other relevant major from a 4-year college or university and 3 to 5 years related experience in engineering and product design techniques.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.
  • Apply engineering concepts and perform engineering calculations relating to product design.
