About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead, supervise, and coordinate all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations. This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency and reliability of equipment, facilities, and production systems across the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent leadership skills, and proven experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or beverage production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily maintenance operations for all industrial equipment, facilities, and machinery.
- Ensure timely execution of routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades to minimize equipment downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and strategies.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and plant engineers.
- Foster a safe, compliant, and high-performance work environment.
- Track and manage maintenance budgets, reporting on expenses, project timelines, and safety metrics.
- Maintain inventory control through MaintainX cloud-based CMMS platform.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions.
- Coordinate with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support smooth production operations and workflow.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Schedule and lead shift meetings; manage attendance records and time-off requests.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role.
- 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical experience in a production or beverage manufacturing setting.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with:
- HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, and piping systems
- Machine operations and PLC programming
- Proficient in MaintainX or similar CMMS platforms.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Language
- Fluent in English required.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing environment with frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) required: safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety-toe boots.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed to support operations.
