Job Summary
The School of Marketing invites candidates to apply for a Professor of Practice or Teaching Track position beginning August 2022. The position is for the Hattiesburg campus and will serve as the co-lead for the Professional Sales Certificate Program (including coordinating for the sales lab and sales competitions). Candidates with extensive knowledge and experience in sales are especially encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Professor of Practice or Assistant Teaching Professor will teach four courses per semester (or equivalent) to be determined by the Director of the School. Teaching obligations will primarily support the Professional Selling Certificate and the Marketing BSBA programs and may also include related programs. Faculty are expected to maintain quality teaching (both online and in-person) and contribute to the program's mission (below). This position will also serve as the co-lead for the Professional Sales Certificate program and coordinator for the Sales Lab and sales team (competitions). In addition, the faculty member will be expected to engage in service activities (such as committee work and other official activities) for the School, College, and University.
