USPI/Urology ASC has an immediate need for a full time Sterile Processing Tech to join the team!
Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for Urology surgery cases.
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Computer skills, required
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
- Six months to 1 year of experience.
- Experience with all types of sterilizers.
- Knows operating room instrumentation for a Urology setting.
- Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
- Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
