The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Molecular Biology, invites applications for an Instructor (research track, nontenured) faculty position. The position requires a Ph.D. in molecular biology, pharmacology, or related field and at least 6 years of postdoctoral experience. Will perform research that will increase our molecular and cellular insights on how to induce neural regeneration after traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries. Research requires highly specialized expertise performing animal surgeries, especially on traumatic spinal cord and brain injuries. The position also requires experimental techniques in molecular biology, cell cultures, cryosections of neural tissues, immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopes, animal behavior paradigms, and statistical data analysis.
