Job Title: Production Graphic Designer

Reports To: Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Department: Marketing Department

Location: Hybrid / Grand Haven, Michigan

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position summary

The Production Graphic Designer creates designs for the UV Angel website, digital marketing, tradeshows, investor materials, and other relevant media. This position represents the marketing team while working closely with our sales, product, engineering, and admin teams to create compelling graphics, while making sure our branding is consistent, clear, and impactful.

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Develop concepts, design, and rework/repurpose a wide range of materials, such as marketing materials, signage, webpages, PowerPoint presentations, and videos.
  • Develop concepts and translate into high-quality designs using best design practices, like typography, layout, imagery, etc.
  • Manage brand standards and create branded assets, including stationery, business cards, templates, and email signatures using brand elements like fonts, color, logos, patterns, icons, and photography styles.
  • Edit and export videos for promotional, product, and interview-style videos
  • Create and update webpages and landing pages using WordPress and HubSpot
  • Design or update investor presentations, brochures, infographics, and digital content, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines and requirements of the CEO and CFO
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams with various print and digital materials, including brochures, flyers, and emails.
  • Design materials for tradeshows and other promotional events, including graphics, videos, presentations, collateral, emails, and SWAG, ensuring a cohesive brand presence.
  • Handle various requests from other departments in a timely and professional manner. Understand the needs and goals of the request by gathering input and feedback. Make revisions as necessary to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Work closely with the product team in creating and maintaining technical documents, such as Installation Manuals and Product Specifications.
  • Maintain and optimize files using various software programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, etc.
  • Export digital files to print-ready PDF formats, and order/print documents as needed.
  • Organize and manage files and revisions in SharePoint in an easy-to-use format.
  • Manage vendor relations and communicate print specifications and timelines as required.
  • Stay up to date on the latest design trends and best practices and implement strategies into daily work to continuously improve our designs and communications.
  • Assist the marketing team as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills

  • Adobe Design Suite, proficiency required
  • WordPress, proficiency in design and updates required
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required
  • Premier, edit capabilities preferred
  • Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools is highly desirable
  • Ability to successfully manage projects; use and rely on project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various teams
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Education and work experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or communications
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a graphic design or creative production setting; start-up marketing department, marketing agency or healthcare experience is helpful
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects

Job requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and provide proper documentation within 3 days of employment
  • Must be able to provide adequate workspace when working from home

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
