Position Summary:
The Billing Supervisor is responsible for balancing daily cash journal and monitoring all customer balances and payments for timely collection. Assists the Billing Manager in managerial duties of the department.
Positions Key Responsibilities:
Oversee billing processes, ordering, picking, invoicing, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Develop an effective, highly-motivated billing team that works together to achieve set goals.
Provide the leadership, training, planning, organization, and support needed to ensure that employees understand and accept these goals and work diligently to achieve them.
Communicate with General Manager on progress of the department and staff on a regular basis.
Review customer lists, customers statements / invoices as payments are made. Ensure correct amount is paid and flag past due invoices.
Check and record daily sales invoices and daily sales amounts.
Provide accurate general ledger account number and vendor numbers on all invoices to assure payment to correct vendor.
Collect money from drivers daily and review accuracy of all invoice payments.
Other duties as assigned.
Starting at $22.29/hr., Depending on Experience.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-4 years of experience in area of specialization.
In-depth knowledge of Asian products is required.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Some knowledge of the Chinese (Cantonese) language is a plus.
Knowledge of general ledger systems, 10-key, and basic math skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as database management.
Flexible schedule and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
