About the Role:

As a Data Scientist at our Information and Media Services company in New York, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets and developing predictive models to drive business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and develop solutions to improve business performance. Your work will directly impact the success of our company and our clients, as you will be responsible for delivering actionable insights that drive growth and profitability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in data science or a related field
  • Strong programming skills in R and Python
  • Experience with machine learning techniques such as random forest, neural networks, and logistic regression
  • Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow
  • Experience with clustering techniques
  • Experience with data visualization tools

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze large and complex data sets using statistical and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and develop solutions to improve business performance
  • Design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and validate models
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning to continuously improve our analytical capabilities

Skills:

As a Data Scientist, you will use your strong programming skills in R and Python to analyze large and complex data sets using statistical and machine learning techniques such as random forest, neural networks, and logistic regression. You will also have experience with statistical analysis and experimental design. In addition, you will have experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow. You will use your strong communication skills to clearly and concisely communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Finally, you will stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science and machine learning to continuously improve our analytical capabilities.
