Budget Analyst I

Responsibilities

• The Budget analyst will provide direct support to the College of Strategic Security Cooperation (CSSC) and the Defense SCO Institute (DSI).
• Handle DTS travel for students and support as needed.
• Perform a variety of budget duties and responsibilities.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• What You Will Do:
• Provide budget support for all DSCU financial operations
• Prepare budget reports for various funding sources related to student funding, DTS orders, non-DTS orders, DSCU contracts, FMS, and OM&N
• Analyze funding by activity accounting for incoming funds and expenditures
• Enter budget data and perform reconciliation for various accounts
• Utilize DTS, DTA, and FDTA roles to manage accounts
• Key Responsibilities:
• Providing day to day budget support to CSSC and DSI
• Working closely with students on DTS issues
• Customer service and communication skills are important
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or at least one-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education
• Experience:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI
• Financial background
• Working independently with the ability to stay motivated and multitask.
• Work as a team to support the mission of the senior leadership office.
• Other Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
