Skills:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited police training program
• 2 years of law enforcement experience
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications are preferred but not required
• Knowledge of use of force
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Patrol the area in an effort to maintain public safety.
• Maintain a safe distance from suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed logs of incident reports.
• Monitor and record suspicious activity.
• Use necessary equipment (i.e. GPS, data loggers, etc.)to track and record criminal activity, traffic infractions, accidents, etc.
• Use a variety of listening devices (i.e. walkie-talkies, radios, etc.)to communicate with other departments' personnel and agencies' personnel.
• Perform searches and seizures in accordance with state laws and regulations.
• Prepare and serve police reports and court documents.
• Serve as an officer on duty during emergencies or special events such as fires or accidents; may be required to act as the first responder to certain calls during those situations.
• Assist other departments' personnel as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,714.00 - $63,346.00 per year
